John Stott (1921-2011)

As most will have heard, the Anglican churchman, preacher, and theologian, John Stott went to be with his Lord on Thursday 27th July. His impact on worldwide evangelicalism has been profound – through his preaching and writing, advocacy of world missions and Christian social concern, but most of all his urgent committment to make known the gospel of Christ.

Various Christian leaders have paid their respects, including John Piper, Derek Thomas, Chris Wright, Billy Graham, Michael Horton, Peter Jensen, and even the Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams. There is also a memorial site which has been set up by Langham Partnership.
